Are you a keen gardener? Do you make jams, sauces or pickles? The “Half Dead” group have worked for years to raise funds by selling plants & other produce – they go to the Sorell Market on public holidays . They’ve raised thousands of $$$$ to support mission projects both in Australia & overseas………. and they are happy to recruit more suppliers & sellers at the market!
You are invited to spend some leisure time joining in with other seniors fortnightly on Wednesday mornings from 10 – 12 noon to play Scrabble or a variety of card games over morning tea – just check with the church as to when the next meet is….. We call the group “Seniors’ Moments” – can’t remember why…
If you want to explore the Bible you are invited to join any of the church’s small groups – they operate on a number of locations on the eastern shore and at various times so there’s sure to be a time that suits you – contact the office for details.
We have a range of activities that are aimed at supporting and resourcing people doing mission in other places.
We have a strong support of a range of mission projects through our denominational mission organisation, GMP. This is particularly true of Vietnam. We have established links with some workers in Vietnam and have toured there in 2010 and another is being planned for 2012.
We have a growing relationship with Samaritan’s Purse (Tasmania) and have a number of people who are involved with them from our community; we are continuing to explore a developing partnership together.
